History
The history control lets you navigate through different versions of the process model along a timeline.
You can view processes as they were in the past, as they are now and as they will be in the future.
To use the history, ensure that the Timeline button in the Navigation menu is activated.
If the validity of a process model has changed, the timeline visualizes this timestamp with a vertical black line.
Between two of these lines or until the infinite end, a timespan is shown in a defined color.
The color of a timespan represents the validity. The following colors are used:
- Red
-
The process model is no longer in effect
- Green
-
The process model is currently in effect
- Yellow
-
The process model will take effect in the future
Navigation
To navigate on the timeline you can
-
select a timestamp from the date picker control
-
click the Now button to jump to the current timestamp
-
click somewhere on the timeline to change to that date / time
-
pan the timeline by dragging the timeline with the left mouse button
-
change the timeline scale with the mouse wheel
As you can see, the process documentation is updated immediately after you change the resolving time. Also, if you view a date / time other than now, the date control will be outlined in red.
