Process Variants and Version Management
When creating a process chart, the process modeller has the option to take into account varying information requirements, using process variants and how observors view the process model.
In a process chart, deviating process steps can be created as variants. The newly created process model is not treated as a copy, but instead as a view of the original process model. Those areas of a variant that have not been modified are derived from the original process model and these areas are automatically modified in the new variants.
Variants in a chart can be compared with each other; differences between them are displayed visually.
Moreover, processes are exposed to constant change. But to maintain an overview for the timeliness of your modelled processes, IYOPRO offers you version management. This function enables you to store and manage modeled processes as different versions.
When storing a change in a process model, new versions are created. For each version, it is possible to leave a version comment and to restore older process versions.
